Skarlet settled more against him and eased into a state of relaxation she rarely achieved. It was uncommon for her to find more than a state of deep meditation but in his arms she knew the world outside held no threat to them.

She would return the favor, she'd never allow harm to come to him if she could stop it, she would aid him when she was able and she would provide for him what she could.

She would see that he was fed and clothed and given what he needed as well as spoiled with what she could manage, just as he spoiled her in turn. They were well suited in that, as in so many other regards.
